County Planning

The St. Clair County Metropolitan Planning Commission works to make St. Clair County a better place to live, work and play. This mission is accomplished through comprehensive community-wide planning programs that establish policies and plans to guide economic, physical, and social development.

The County Board of Commissioners has appointed eleven citizens to serve as the Metropolitan Planning Commission. Members represent various sectors or interests within the county including local government, education, agriculture, real estate, public utilities, and industry. Representation is countywide with an appointee from each County Board of Commissioner district and three members at large A staff of professional planners, analysts, technicians, and administrative support staff assist the Commission.
